Farm shops are so important in this country, it's a way of life, it's people's livelihood and more importantly, I think it's a source of some of the best food available.
I constantly talk to my butcher asking for advice on cuts of meat, how to cook things and if they can get things in for me. Where is your nearest farm shop?
This is my local farm shop and it offers a completely full range of goods of local produce. I even asked if they do exotic food, the response was "yeah, there's a chap up the road who sells python". I couldn't believe it.
I talk to Antonio all the time and he gives me not only the best meat but great advice and service too.
An incredible farm shop on it's own farm in the magnificent Chew Valley. Matty and the team are working so hard to to bring stunning quality food to the public from pasture to plate.
A fantastic farm shop that started with such a small shop, it now boasts a full store and beautiful restaurant.
Chew Moo's is a family-run Farm situated on the Dundry Hills of Bristol.
I was lucky enough to be their neighbour for a long time and know the family well. The farm is free for you to visit. Take a look around the website, and make a visit soon.
Love this place. Well worth a visit for the freshest of milk and other farm shop treats!
Hugh and Celia Gay are the 3rd generation of the Gay family to farm at Newton St Loe as tenants of the Duchy of Cornwall, just 3 miles West of Bath.
Starting Newton Farm Foods some years ago to market their own farm produce this diversification now has Newton farm shop, butchery and café, all housed in a wonderfully converted 18th Century barn.
This will be a morning well spent here, strawberry picking, farm shop, restaurant, garden plants and much more.

The Butchery serves beef, milk-fed pork and rose veal, all reared on the farm, together with lamb
