At Hunter Gatherer Cooking, our mission is to unite and empower the UK's largest network of individuals, businesses, and brands within the food, drink, and country sectors. We are here to tell real stories from the field to the fork—connecting people to the roots of their food through immersive content, events, and experiences. By sharing these stories with over one million people and building a YouTube community of one million subscribers, we aim to inspire, educate, and entertain while promoting sustainability, ethical practices, and the joys of nature’s bounty. We foster a community that celebrates heritage, innovation, and authentic connection between people and the land.

2019 April 20th, is where it all began, with me trimming pieces of meat at home and practicing smoking and BBQ'ing in the garden on my gas BBQ. This soon led to the set up of the Youtube channel, Instagram and Facebook page. It was a safe space to post content and start this creative journey.

2020 the logo was made, the website was built and I started a blog! Things were going really well and I was enjoying leaving the recruitment life in the office and getting out and about with my firebox and cooking up meals on my own with beautiful backdrops. Later in the the "Hunter Gatherer Cooking Ltd" was born. 

2021 was the year I gained my first 1000 Youtube subscribers and saw over 150k views from the videos. Instagram saw over 10,000 followers and I launched Hunter Gatherer Sleeping. I was on stage at SizzleFest and supported Somerset Grills at Smoke and Fire Fest. I launched the BBQ school and held lessons at peoples homes as a nomadic teacher.

2022 saw a rise in Instagram followers to 35,000+ and Youtube climbed to 4000+ subscribers. Tiktok saw it's first 2000 followers. HGS saw 3 more sleeps and HGC joined Food Club Review. The BBQ lessons continued and I expanded into groups, including schools with sizes up to 40 students at a time. Boardwalk Bristol made a professional film about what I was doing and a new series of farming and vineyard life started on Youtube.

2023 was a hell of a year! Youtube climbed to nearly 70k subscribers, I applied for and was granted my firearms licence, the website had an overhaul to reflect the content creation and asado fire school days. HGC went to Germany for it's first overseas trip! I shot my first deer in Scotland! I made a 4 part special including learning about salmon farms. I made my own forged knife! I was driving Landrovers! I made 9 more HGSleeping videos. I made new fire cooking content on the Somerset Grill, Heston Everdure and Firecage. It was amazing but one of my favourite things was being nominated in the EatGame awards in two categories! Bring on the results in 2024.

2024 was an INCREDIBLE year! I became a finalist in the Eat Game Awards and won BEst game Educator! HGC became an integral part of The Stalking Show and hosted it's first ever media stand recording over 35 videos for youtube. I shot our 2nd snow film in Scotland! I filmed with Sarah Miles! I set up and launched the first Asdo Fire Days event at Nempnet pastures. I got to borrow a Charlie Oven! I filmed with Sue Stoneman and Vale House Kitchen. I started a garden makeover with would become a new filming space. I completed 11 at home BBQ days. I bought my first rifle and subsequently shot my first deer. I travelled to Scotland to continue my partnership with Wester Ross Salmon,  I fished in a Scottish river! I went spear fishing! I filmed and shot with Ali Schwind! I finally took a holiday in Spain. I walked in Sunflower fields, I paddle-boarded and learned more field craft. I hosted the first Country Girls UK day at the farm. I drove a Ford Ranger, a Mini Countryman and teamed up with Leviathan Pits. I partnered with Game larder and The BDS. I led my first stalk but my proudest moment was receiving my Youtube Play Button for having 100,000+ subscribers. Thank you to everyone.

2025 is unwritten but there are plenty of ideas that i want to complete on.
